Participation in the competition “The Most Energy-Efficient Building in Latvia 2025”

HO Estate with hotel Recap, Prohorova iela 11, Jelgava, proudly applied for the competition “The Most Energy-Efficient Building in Latvia 2025”.
This competition has been promoting sustainable construction and renovation practices in Latvia for more than 15 years, and it was important for us to show that the hotel industry is also actively involved in green energy and energy efficiency solutions.

Competition results

This year, 36 buildings were entered into the competition in various nominations, and the competition was very strong.
Although our project did not win the award this time, participation in itself was an important step – it allowed us to gain recognition from industry experts, as well as share our experience and approach to sustainable hotel management.

Why was that important?

• Participation in the competition allowed show the results of the renovation to the wider public.
• This gave the opportunity compare our practices with other building energy efficiency solutions.
• The hotel's image was strengthened as for a responsible and sustainable company.

A look into the future

Participation in the competition inspires us to continue developing energy-efficient and environmentally friendly solutions.
The solar panel project is just the first step – we are planning other improvements in the future to make the hotel Recap become even greener and more energy independent.
