In January 2024, HO Estate began managing a service hotel at Prohorova Street 11, Jelgava. The hotel renovation began in March 2024. HO Estate provides project management during the renovation process. Before implementing energy efficiency measures, the building underwent an energy audit, and the hotel was assigned an energy efficiency class of F, or an annual energy consumption of 164.00 kWh/m2 per year. In October 2024, after implementing energy efficiency measures, the building was assigned an energy efficiency class of B, or an annual energy consumption of 63.00 kWh/m2 per year. The savings in primary energy resources during the renovation of the building exceeded 60%.
The financial institution ALTUM has reserved a capital allowance for energy efficiency works at the hotel in the amount of EUR 149,186.69.
As part of the renovation project, careful sorting of construction waste (concrete, glass, wood) was ensured at the construction site. Approximately 50% of construction waste was recycled. In addition, HO Estate recycled 21 tons of scrap metal.
Since October 2024, the building has been heated with environmentally friendly energy resources (wood pellets). Thermal energy in the hotel is provided by two GRANDEG pellet heating boilers with a capacity of 100 kW each.
The building has 170 beds and the hotel will welcome its first residents on December 2, 2024. The hotel operator functions are provided by SIA Rikap.
